Driver side rear wheel locked

 · Tonight, I finally get the chance so, I fire it off, put it in first and go to pull forward and the driver's side, rear wheel will only go ahead and back about 3 inches!!!!! It's like it hits a stop or something and locks up. The passenger side rear wheel turns fine and was trying to push the car forward but the left side rear was stopping it.  · Drivers side rear wheel locked up. The drivers side rear wheel will not rotate. I figured it had a locked up break caliper and removed that. Unfortunately the wheel will still not rotate. With the rear end off the ground the passengers side will rotate, but drivers side is locked. Emergency break is off. 30 Answers. Re: Driver side rear tire locked up. Remove wheel from drum using a large hammer crack the wheel drum a few times, this should loosen the brake shoe's or the rust which is locking the drum, on the rear of the drum you will find a small square nut which is the adjuster for the shoes try to turn anti clockwise this will also help to loosen the shoes. hope this helps.

Jack up the drivers side wheel. Try to move it. If it is locked up loosen the brake bleeder screw and see if that frees up the wheel. If it is still locked up, remove the wheel and remove the brake caliper. Check to see if you can turn the rotor with the brakes off. Drivers side rear wheel locked up. I then put in back into drive and there was a loud clunk and it went into drive. hey guys, as i was driving (Slowly luckily) my rear drivers side wheel locked up. i had to park in hadicap to check it out, when i backed out it spun. 14 de mai. de Either the caliper or parking brake can cause the wheel to seize. The dealer can loosen the bleeder screw, and if the wheel turns then the. Now when I tried to tkae it out of the garage the drivers side rear wheel is locked up. Its dark and 8 degree outside so I am not going out to check.
